Events
We don’t have any events scheduled coming up. Sometimes we are asked to do interviews or speeches around the book, but nothing is scheduled for now! In regard to what’s here, some day I’ll enter some of the other events we did just as a bit of added “historical record” here, but for now I’ll just leave this one that was convenient to find when we moved the content from the old website over to this website. :-)
Please join us for a book signing at:
Costco on Saturday, June 8th, 2013, from 12 to 3pm.
This is the Costco in Gilbert on Country Club/Arizona Avenue a bit south of the U.S. 60. The address is 1415 N. Arizona Avenue, Gilbert, Arizona 85233.
The book is available at normal bookstores and online. We appreciate the range of places that carry it (or will order it for you) from Costco to chain bookstores to local favorite, independent bookstores like Changing Hands Bookstore at 6248 S. McClintock Drive, Tempe, AZ 85283. 480-730-0205
Given how many great tie-ins there are and its wide appeal, this is the sort of book that’s reasonable to have events for (or with) at different times of year of the years…like for graduations, homecoming, new school year/orientation, Legends Lunches, alumni events, etc. So we’ll try to remember to let you know as other events get scheduled.
We very much enjoy meeting folks from the community as we can, so please feel free to contact us if you’d like to schedule an event (book signing, speech, etc.).
Fundraising and Gifts
Several people have expressed interest in using the book as a gift for donors or members of ASU-related groups or history-related groups, or to fundraise for clubs, or Greek Life, etc.).
If that describes you, contact us and we’ll connect you with the right folks at Arcadia (the publisher), etc. so you can see if you can arrange a bulk discount to enhance your fundraising profits or to reduce your cost per gift.
In some cases, and if you have enough lead time, it might be a good choice to ask the ASU Bookstore to set-up a table at your event to provide this book, and perhaps other books too, for your guests to consider. But, sadly and ironically, they aren’t currently (it could change!) as nimble and responsive on some things as they once were (corporate transition and all), so sometimes it’s better to work directly with the publisher.
Whatever, we’ll help you sort that out if we can or direct you to great people in both groups to help you do so.
